Thank you for sharing your beautiful gardens . Our garden club members were very impressed. Your dioramas of your home land were outstanding. As a crafter and sewer I can appreciate your attention to detail. It was wonderful to learn and see some history that I didn’t know much about
Hi Nicuu,
Your site is Real, Creative, Thoughtful, Nationalistic, Representative, Entertaining, Educational, Personal and more…..
This work of “Art” is “Original” as a result it does not require suggestions and or criticism.
Regards,
Bahador
Hello Niccu,
What a wonderful talent you have! The dioramas are amazing. I will visit your home someday and see it, and I am sure we will have endless conversation about our culture. Actually, at my work, our elders made dioramas about their life experiences in Korea and here. So I understand how powerful the dioramas are. Thank you for inviting me to your website and sharing the wonderful artistic and cultural works of art.
You are amazing.

Niccu: A wonderful way to glimpse a colorful and significant culture. You are a genius. Mark Keljik
Dear Niccu,
I received the information about your site from my good friend Afsy Sheibaei (Haghayeghi) in London.
I loved the idea and what you have done is quite amazing and very unique.
I appreciate that Afsy cares about Iran and what I do to introduce Iran through my memories. Thank you.
I have done a similar thing in the form of a children’s video about Norooz. Please forward a mailing address so I could send you a copy of this DVD. In it I have used my memories of childhood in the Boad Club watching Kheimeh Shab Bazi and other related things which I have incorporated to form a Variety show for children.
I think that would be fantastic. I’ll send my address to you.
As feedback about what you have done if I may, I wish you had built the dolls — instead of using ready-made and store bought items.
I have custom made 137 dolls. Some of them are assembled and some were made by other methods. The dolls of the Marriage diorama are made by myself. Sewing the clothing was the hardest part and I used silk fabric for their Chadors; and I assembled the male dolls by using ceramic. This diorama is totally changed now and the new pictures are not on the site yet because I need a good photographer to take the pictures.
I have done this myself through the art of papier-mâché and used powdered paper to mold and form doll heads for my Kheimeh Shab Bazi. You could even do this using the dolls as your base and build these faces with more character to look just like the people who you are mentioning and remembering.
For the face of dolls, I wish we could work together. As you can guess, making 137 dolls with differing expression is very difficult. I use ready-made doll heads and to adjust them to what was needed. I had to make molds for many dolls (in Mosque and Holy place)…
Other than that, your delicate and detailed work took me back to many shared memories of our lives in Iran.
I would appreciate your sending the disk of your art work. Please be in touch.
Amazing. I really enjoyed. Colors, movenents, shapes, combination of colors are fabulous. Great selection for your great website. We proude of you.
Dear Aunt Niccu,
Congratulations! Great job. I am sure you have put much effort for this delicate work. I see that the website has also been improved a lot. I hope this website gives the future Iranian generation and people around the world a better picture of persian culture…
Hi Niccu: Thanks for all this art that you bring to us so we can revisit what was in my heart all along. The loom is so familiar to me. I am from India and loom we use to make cotton dhurrie is so similar. Women got together in summer to sit together sing and weave. I wish it can be revived now again as the hand work is diappearing and being taken over by machines. The Persian and Farsi so well spokien in parts of India. Thanks for bringing to Minnesota as immigrants and refugees settle this is like bringing home closer to you.
The Diggers wish to thank you for a very special and unique experience. Your artistry both inside and out were enjoyed by every one.
Thank you for being such a wonderful hostess and sharing your remembrance of Persia with us.
Dear Niccu,
I would like to say Thank you for your hard work an great commitment to present Persian culture. your Website is fabulous and I have been fortunate to see all of them in person many times. you are amazing and I am very proud of you.
thank you again

Your message below is very inviting and well done. The tone is just right. You might consider using general instead of global. And you might consider this alternative: which hopefully could serve as a resource about a place dear to all of us.
I look forward to looking more at the website. Congratulations on this significant accomplishment. It is very impressive and is a wonderful teaching tool. Have you approached any of museums about exhibiting the dioramas?
I hope you are well and having good days. Best wishes on the website.

Great job, your artwork is beautiful. It is inspiring and makes myself and others proud to be Persian 🙂
It would also be helpful to show each diorama within a mosaic type picture (instead of separate small pictures) and let the viewer select each square (a detailed picture) by moving the mouse over the squares.
That would be nice.
I thought it is important for the viewers to know how small the dioramas are with respect to the real life situation.
A new page shows a little about the 20 smaller sized originals. This should give you a pretty good idea as to the size of each.
Also, now there are five larger ones: “Wedding”, “Weaving”, “Holy Place”, “National Picnic”, “Persian Mosque”. These range from a little bigger to more than twice the size of the smaller ones.

This way the viewer will have the opportunity to see the entire diorama first, and elect the detailed picture by clicking on a specific spot.
For now @ https://dev.rememberingpersia.com/category/miniature-dioramas-about-iran/ you will find a selection of the dioramas in their entirety.
Click one to get to the page of details as well as the diorama gallery for that article.
As for clicking on a specific spot — that is much like the mosaic approach
I would encourage you Niccu jaan to include a video showing the full images of your dioramas.
In addition, since you always work on new ideas, I suggest to include dance dioramas. As we all know, Persian traditional dance, as traditional music, has always been an important art in Iranian culture.
My dear Nuzha:
Many have this suggestion about video as well. For now, my budget doesn’t have that capacity.
I have been reviewing a couple books on traditional Iranian musical instruments. I will need these to recreate the details of my memories in a diorama. This site is about what I can share from my experiences.
For sure, Iranian music is an area that I will work on, (and dance is a possibility) but you know that it is not easy. It needs time, energy, lots of search and studying.
Thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions.
Dear Niccu:
The website is lovely with all its beautiful pictures and description of places and events and all. The dioramas are great and the attention to details is incredible. I have been fortunate to see few of them in person and they are fabulous. I think a video of them may show more of the work that has gone into creating these. This is certainly a website to recommend to friends to see when someone wants to see a bit of Iran.
I visited your website and I must say, it was impressive. Thank you for your time and effort. I wish you all the success.

These dioramas are strikingly beautiful. The level of detail and craftsmanship is simply wonderful. These provide a wonderful window to Persian culture that I never would have had the chance to see. Thank you for sharing this work.

Thanks you for being so very gracious. It was great to learn about you and your home land of Iran through our visit with you and seeing your art work. Thanks again.
Dear Niccu,
Your website was something special, full of useful information and brilliant works of art. It will help the younger generation to get to know Persian culture, and the older ones to remember what Persia was. I am sure that your efforts will be appreciated by both Iranians and others who are interested in Iran.
Dear Niccu
I had the chance to review your site last night. I have to tell you that you have done such an amazing job that I cannot find the right words to admire it enough. Your attention to the details, the artwork, description of the scenes, adding personal experiences and memories to make the scenes more tangible, and the design of the website all are truly amazing. I congratulate you on this great achievement. You are an artist, an innovator, a kind and dedicated persona, and a true inspiration for everyone.
I have already posted the link of your website in my facebook and will send the link to all my contacts by email. I am leaving for Iran on August 19 and I plan to show your website to my family in Shiraz. I have asked Samira and Arsalan to look at the site and send you their feedback.
I would love the opportunity to see you gallery. I need to coordinate with Samira and Arsalan. I’ll try to do this before I leave for Iran, otherwise after I return on September 4th.
Thank you for creating and sharing this masterpiece with the word.
Best Regards,
Niccu,
What a beautiful contribution to society you have made! Having seen your dioramas in person, I know just how amazing they are and their beauty and attention to detail is truly captured in the pictures here. They help tell the story of Persia and modern day Iran, as do the photo and film blogs. Really like the ‘Niccu’s Corner’ and opportunity to sign the guestbook. Keep up the great work and thank you!
